About the office

The School of Education offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including initial teacher education for early childhood, primary and secondary teachers, and postgraduate programs in early childhood, leadership and management, curriculum, special learning needs and religious education.

About the role

Level A Academics make contributions to the teaching effort of the institution, particularly at undergraduate level and carry out activities to develop their scholarly and professional expertise relevant to the profession or discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with senior academic staff and demonstrate professionalism and compliance with University policies and procedures to:

  • Deliver curriculum content aligned with disciplinary and professional expertise.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback aligned with UNDA assessment policy.
  • Use digital tools and technologies to support effective teaching and student engagement.
  • Undertake teaching-related administrative duties, including possible supervised course coordination responsibilities.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, training, and professional development activities.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Qualifications and experience as a school teacher
  • Higher education qualifications in the relevant discipline and/or undergraduate qualifications with extended experience.
  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
